Seller Protection Program
Moto Parts Base provides strong protection for honest sellers who follow our policies. Our goal is to protect you from unfair losses while maintaining buyer trust.
What is Protected
You are protected in the following situations:
- Item Not Received by Buyer
- If valid tracking shows the package was delivered to the buyer’s confirmed address, you are protected.
- You must provide tracking information uploaded through the platform.
- Significantly Not as Described (SNAD) Claims
- Protected if the item matches your listing description, photos, and stated condition.
- Clear, high-quality photos and accurate descriptions greatly strengthen your protection.
- Unauthorized Returns
- You are not required to accept returns for change-of-mind unless you have your own return policy that allows it.
- You are protected when buyer abuse of the return system is evident.
- Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
- Stripe + platform mediation helps defend valid transactions when you provide proper documentation (tracking, communication records, listing screenshots).
Requirements to Qualify for Protection
- Follow all platform policies (Listing & Selling Policy, Shipping guidelines, etc.).
- Ship within the handling time stated in your listing.
- Provide accurate tracking information promptly.
- Respond to buyer messages within 24–48 hours.
- Maintain accurate item condition and compatibility descriptions.
- Use proper packaging suitable for motorcycle parts.
What is NOT Protected
- Shipping without tracking or with invalid tracking.
- Items significantly different from the listing.
- Failure to respond to disputes or returns in time.
- Policy violations (counterfeit parts, prohibited items, etc.).
- Late shipping or unprofessional behavior.
How to Strengthen Your Protection
- Take detailed photos before shipping.
- Keep records of all communications on the platform.
- Use Shippo or upload tracking for every order.
- Be transparent in your listings (especially for used parts).
- Package items securely.
Platform Support
In case of disputes:
- The platform and Stripe review evidence from both sides.
- Sellers who consistently meet performance standards receive stronger protection.
